Eden Valley, though officially considered part of Barossa, is a million miles away climatically. Here cool climate conditions prevail, with the ability to capture vibrant, zingy freshness and purity; delicate, elegant fruit flavours and realistic alcohol levels. Mount Crawford Riesling is such a wine. The aroma is fresh lifted lemon with bright ripe lemon fruit characters dominating the palate whilst crisp mineral acidity forms the backbone of the wine. The palate has rich citrus flavours, balanced by natural acidity and intense flavour. The wine has a refreshingly clean finish with long acid persistence. Everything one looks for in world-class dry Riesling.
