Oloroso Dry Sherry, Barbadillo, Jerez, Spain
Fino Perdido 1/15 Butts, Sanchez Romate
Called Lost Fino, this is a rich but dry and mature style of Jerez Fino, about 8 years old, bordering on a Fino-Amontillado that is rarely seen today. Deep gold
Since 1781 Sanchez Romate has been family-owned and established in the same Bodegas in the town of Jerez de la Frontera. With vineyards in the Balbaina district on deep chalky soil and extensive soleras of Fino, Amontillado, Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez, Sanchez Romate are one of the few independent Sherry makers with control over the whole process from vineyard to bottle.
Blended Amontillado Sherry, Barbadillo, Jerez, Spain
half btl - 30yr old Amontillado 'Jalifa', Williams and Humbert
This Amontillado originates from a Manzanilla, therefore it has been initially aged in Sanlucar De Barrameda. It is then further aged for a minimum of 30 years (Very Old Rare Sherry) in our Jerez bodegas using the oxidative ageing process in the ‘Jalifa’ Criadera and Soleras. Amber golden in colour. Dry, deep woody aroma of vanilla and nuts. Smooth, rounded, mellow, elegant and full bodied on the palate.
