Spring is the time of year when we like to show off some of our new finds. The late winter/early spring is the time of year when we do a lot of our tasting to choose the wines that we'd like to add to our range, and how better to launch them than at one of our wine dinners.
The evening will showcase wines from around the world, and we'll be including a number of wines from lesser known regions and grape varieties to ensure that you try something totally new. We'll start with something sparkling before trying a range of red and white wines and finishing with something sweet. As per usual with our tastings the wines will be tasted alongside the meal, so you'll have the opportunity to try them with and without food. This is the best way of truly assessing a wine.
The evening's dinner is being prepared by Alan Paton and Matt Wilby, who have previously cooked some of the finest meals we have ever served here.
Fish and chip terrine, fried scraps, seaweed mayo, lime pepper
