The multiple components of Visionaire allow each to show off its own unique characters while combining to produce an experience greater than the parts – each varietal a celebrated soloist combining with the orchestra of the blend!
Holden Manz Visionaire is produced using grapes exclusively from Franschhoek. Our take on a spicy Bordeaux style blend, Visionaire consists of 35% merlot, 25% cabernet sauvignon, 20% syrah, 11% cabernet franc, 5% malbec and 4% petit verdot. The individual wines were matured separately for 18 months in 225 litre French oak barrels of which 20% were new with the remainder 2nd and 3rd fill. The blend was compiled and allowed to con-tinue barrel maturation for a further 6 months.
Holden Manz Wine Estate, known as Franschhoek's hidden gem, is located in the southernmost corner of the stunningly beautiful Franschhoek Valley. The 22 hectare Estate, motto tread lightly, is owned by the Anglo-German Holden-Manz family since 2010. 75kW of solar panels provide electricity and a 40,000 litre roof water collection system supplements the underground water supply.
