Four Pebbles is a vinous exploration of the Bot-River area in the Cape South Coast, South Africa. The name comes from the selection of cultivars, one pebble per cultivar, assembled to perfection. The grapes were hand harvested and carefully sorted. Fermentation took place in open vats and each cultivar was separately matured for 12 months in third and fourth filled French oak barrels.
Vibrant red fruit colour with a hint of violet but black fruit driven with aromas of plum and blackberry. Bright acidity, notes of tobacco leaf, juicy palate with gentle youthful tannins.
A small, boutique winery run by a French-Danish family originating from Mauritius. IDUN strive to produce wines that reflect their origin and have an excellent range of elegant fruit forward varietals, well supported by tannin and acid structure.
