A classic sweet Marsala from Pellegrino, the Garibaldi Dolce reflects the long-standing tradition of fortified winemaking in western Sicily, combining richness with balance and depth.
Tasting Notes:
Deep amber in colour. The nose is warm and inviting, with aromas of dried fig, plum and honey, alongside notes of toasted nuts and gentle oak spice. On the palate, it is smooth and luscious, offering flavours of caramelised fruit, raisin and nutty complexity, balanced by a subtle freshness. The finish is long, rounded and comforting, with lingering notes of sweet spice.
Winemaking:
Produced from a blend of indigenous Sicilian varieties including Grillo, Catarratto and Inzolia. Fermentation is arrested through fortification, preserving natural sweetness, before ageing for a minimum of two years in oak casks. This maturation allows the wine to develop its characteristic depth, warmth and oxidative complexity.
Food Pairing:
Well suited to rich desserts such as nut tarts, chocolate-based dishes and dried fruit pastries. It can also be enjoyed on its own, either as a digestif or alongside hard cheeses.
ABV: 18%
