This Cabernet has a deep red ruby colour with pleasing aromas of ripe red fruit and a fresh touch of tobacco, cocoa and spices like nutmeg. Good concentration on the palate, round and smooth. It's smooth finish has a lovely fresh red fruits note to it. Winemaking: Initially there is a period of 2-3 days cold soak then fermented with selected and native yeasts in 8 and 18 ton closed top stainless steel tanks. Total maceration approx 16 days. Native malolactic fermentation takes place in barrel and the wine is aged for 8 months in French and American oak of which 20% is new.
