It's so nice to find a good value red Burgundy that is traditionally made and true to this region's great roots. It is fermented slowly in open-topped fermenters to achieve exceptional extraction of colour and flavour. The resulting wine is very nicely textured, with a good weight of ripe cherry and summer berry fruit as well as a classic smokey, almost gamey note that good Burgundy is famed for. This is definitely a Burgundy for the purists.
