Le Havre de Paix – meaning “Safe Haven” – is a friendly, easy-drinking red from the Aude basin in Languedoc. Made from a blend of Grenache and Syrah, it captures the warmth of southern France in a supple, approachable style.
Tasting Notes:
Ruby red in colour, the nose is fragrant with ripe red berries, red currants, and a hint of spice. The palate is light to medium-bodied, juicy and supple, with gentle tannins and a subtle, spicy finish. Semi-dry and harmonious, it’s immediately appealing and effortless to enjoy.
Winemaking:
The vineyards sit on light alluvial and sandy soils that heat quickly, helping the grapes reach optimal ripeness. Grapes are harvested by hand, destemmed, crushed, and hot-macerated to extract full flavour. After pressing, the wine is stored in vats before racking, filtering, and bottling.
Food Pairing:
Ideal with grilled meats, barbecue dishes, cold cuts, salads, or soft cheeses. Equally enjoyable on its own, and in warmer weather, best served slightly chilled at 10–12°C.
ABV: 12%
