Description

A refined and approachable Saumur Brut from Château de Montgueret in the Loire Valley, produced using the traditional method and aged in the region’s distinctive limestone caves. Crafted from Chenin Blanc and Chardonnay, this sparkling wine reflects the estate’s focus on freshness, purity and gentle complexity.

Tasting Notes:
Pale gold in colour with a fine, persistent mousse, the nose is bright and expressive, showing citrus, white fruit and delicate floral notes, with a subtle touch of honeyed richness. The palate is fresh and rounded, combining lively acidity with soft orchard fruit character and a gentle hint of creaminess from lees ageing. The finish is clean, balanced and lightly mineral.

Winemaking:
Produced by the traditional method, with secondary fermentation in bottle followed by extended maturation for around two years in deep limestone caves. This slow ageing process enhances finesse and texture while preserving the wine’s natural vibrancy.

Food Pairing:
An excellent apéritif sparkling wine, also well suited to seafood, shellfish and light starters. Its freshness and soft texture make it equally versatile with goat’s cheese and delicate canapés.

ABV: 12%
