A fresh and delicately styled Saumur Rosé Mousseux Sec from Château de Montgueret in the Loire Valley, crafted using the traditional method and made primarily from Cabernet Franc, the region’s signature red grape. Aged in the estate’s historic limestone caves, this sparkling rosé combines fruit purity with gentle refinement.
Tasting Notes:
Bright salmon-pink in colour with fine, persistent bubbles, the nose is elegant and expressive, offering aromas of red berries including strawberry, raspberry and cherry, alongside subtle floral notes of rose. The palate is fresh and softly rounded, with a gentle mousse and a dry, fruit-driven profile. Crisp acidity lifts the red fruit character, leading to a clean, refreshing finish.
Winemaking:
Produced by the traditional method, with secondary fermentation in bottle followed by around two years’ maturation in deep limestone caves. This slow ageing process enhances finesse and texture while maintaining the wine’s bright fruit expression and freshness.
Food Pairing:
An ideal apéritif rosé sparkling wine, also well suited to light starters, smoked salmon, seafood and fresh fruit desserts. Its balance of freshness and delicate fruit makes it particularly versatile for relaxed summer drinking.
ABV: 12.5%
