A richly aromatic expression of Gewurztraminer from the celebrated Grand Cru Pfersigberg, produced by Domaine Viticole de Colmar under its Signature de Colmar label. Pfersigberg is known for its sun-exposed, limestone-rich slopes, which help Gewurztraminer develop exceptional concentration and spice while retaining structure and finesse. This wine captures the variety’s classic exuberance with refined balance.
Tasting Notes:
Golden yellow in colour, the nose is intensely perfumed with notes of candied fruit, rose petals and exotic spice. On the palate it is off dry, though the lush, mouth-coating texture gives an impression of sweetness balanced by freshness and depth. Flavours of lychee, ginger and citrus zest linger elegantly, supported by a persistent and harmonious finish.
Winemaking:
Grapes are carefully selected from the Pfersigberg Grand Cru site and vinified to showcase varietal character and terroir expression. Controlled fermentation preserves aromatic intensity, while minimal intervention allows the wine’s natural richness and spice to shine. The result is a wine of opulence and precision.
Food Pairing:
Excellent with aromatic cuisine, including Asian dishes and spiced poultry. It also pairs beautifully with fruity desserts and blue or mature cheeses, where its richness complements bold flavours.
