Description

A fresh and aromatic expression of Grillo from the coastal vineyards of Sicily, produced by Carlo Pellegrino, a historic Marsala-based winery with a long tradition of showcasing indigenous Sicilian varieties. The Salinaro vineyards lie close to the sea, where maritime influences and warm Mediterranean conditions contribute to the wine’s vibrant character and saline freshness.

Tasting Notes:
Brilliant straw yellow in colour, the nose is fragrant and layered, combining citrus notes with floral hints of jasmine and orange blossom. On the palate it is fresh and well balanced, with flavours of grapefruit and lemon supported by subtle nuances of vanilla. The finish is clean and persistent, reflecting the wine’s coastal origins and varietal purity.

Winemaking:
Grapes are grown in vineyard sites near the sea, where the maritime climate enhances aromatic intensity and freshness. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel to preserve the natural fruit character of Grillo. The wine is then aged on its fine lees in tank for several months, adding texture and depth while maintaining a crisp, elegant profile.

Food Pairing:
An excellent partner for seafood, shellfish and light Mediterranean dishes. It also pairs beautifully with salads, grilled vegetables and creamy pasta recipes, and works well as a refreshing aperitif.

ABV: 13.5%
