A compelling expression of northern Rhône’s most celebrated appellation, Hermitage Les Miaux comes from hillside vineyards on the granite-rich slopes above Tain‑l’Hermitage. Produced by Domaine Ferraton — a highly regarded estate with generations of winemaking tradition — this wine demonstrates the depth and complexity for which Hermitage is renowned.
Tasting Notes
Deep garnet in the glass, the bouquet shows layered aromas of cassis and black raspberry intertwined with graphite, roasted herbs and subtle mineral notes. On the palate it is rich and concentrated, with generous dark fruit framed by gentle savoury character, fine tannins and a lingering finish that combines power with precision.
Winemaking
Made entirely from Syrah grown on the steep granitic soils of Hermitage’s premium sites, the grapes are selected and vinified to allow full phenolic ripeness and layered complexity. Careful maturation enhances structure and depth while preserving freshness and varietal definition.
Food Pairing
A superb match for slow‑roasted lamb, braised beef, game dishes or mature hard cheeses. Its concentration and depth also make it a rewarding contemplative wine in its own right.
