Description

A refined expression of Pinot Noir, this wine showcases the depth and complexity achievable from low-yielding, organic vineyards in Marlborough's premier sites. Crafted with minimal intervention, it reflects Hans Herzog's dedication to purity and quality.

Tasting Notes:
The wine presents aromas of Mediterranean herbs, ripe berry bushes, dark chocolate, and spicy cloves. On the palate, it offers a harmonious blend of sweet and savoury elements, supported by elegant tannins and fine acidity. The finish is long and persistent, indicative of its ageing potential.

Winemaking:
Handpicked from the estate's organic vineyards, the grapes underwent wild fermentation. The wine was matured in the finest French oak barriques for 24 months and aged in bottle for over two years before release, ensuring depth and complexity. No free run juice was removed, preserving the full expression of the fruit.

Food Pairing:
Ideal with pork, lamb, and pasta dishes, where its rich profile complements a variety of flavours.

ABV: 14%
