A distinctive cool-climate field blend from the elevated Maipo Costa Valley, where Pacific breezes, granite soils and surrounding native forests create a long growing season and remarkable aromatic complexity. Blending Malbec, Syrah and Durif, this is a beautifully layered Chilean red with both power and finesse.
Tasting Notes:
Deep ruby in colour with an expressive bouquet of violet, black cherry, blackberry and raspberry, complemented by notes of blackcurrant, toasted hazelnut and subtle leather. The palate is concentrated yet vibrant, revealing ripe dark fruit, savoury spice and finely integrated oak. Full-bodied with polished tannins and fresh acidity, it continues to evolve in the glass, finishing long, complex and elegantly structured.
Winemaking:
Produced from vineyards situated 800 metres above sea level and just 41 kilometres from the Pacific Ocean, where cooling maritime influences slow ripening and preserve freshness. The blend comprises 54.5% Malbec, 22.8% Syrah and 22.7% Durif, with low-yielding vines delivering excellent concentration. The wine is matured for 20 months in French oak barrels before a further two years of bottle ageing prior to release, adding depth and harmony while retaining its vibrant fruit character.
Food Pairing:
A superb partner for braised lamb shank, duck, osso buco and grilled beef. Its complexity and structure also make it an excellent match for game dishes and mature hard cheeses.
ABV: 13.5%
