Description

A distinguished Muscadet from the sandy, granite-rich soils of Clisson, this wine represents the pinnacle of the estate’s commitment to expressive, terroir-driven wines. Domaine de la Bretonnière, led by Bertrand Cormerais, combines meticulous vineyard care with long lees ageing to create depth, texture and complexity in this single-cru expression.

Tasting Notes:
Pale and luminous, with aromas of green melon, white stone fruit and subtle floral notes, complemented by hints of fresh bread and light creaminess from extended lees contact. The palate is textured and rich yet balanced, showing both volume and freshness. The finish is long, precise and lingering, with a refined mineral edge.

Winemaking:
Grapes are harvested from 30-year-old Melon de Bourgogne vines and vinified with careful lees ageing over 40 months, including regular bâtonnage in the first year to enhance mouthfeel. The wine develops rounded texture and subtle complexity while retaining clarity, freshness and the varietal character of Muscadet.

Food Pairing:
Ideal with oysters, shellfish, white fish, or seafood in delicate sauces. Also pairs beautifully with creamy goat’s cheese, lightly seasoned vegetables, or simple summer dishes that complement its freshness and texture.

ABV: 12%
