Tumlin Roero is a single-varietal Nebbiolo from Tenuta Laramè, produced in the Roero hills of Piedmont from organically farmed vineyards owned by the Povero family. The sandy and calcareous soils of Roero, combined with the area’s continental climate, provide ideal conditions for Nebbiolo, allowing the variety to express both aromatic finesse and structural depth.
Tasting Notes:
Bright garnet in colour, the nose is refined and expressive, with aromas of dried rose, violet, raspberry and blackberry, complemented by subtle citrus and almond notes. The palate is elegant and layered, showing red berry fruit alongside hints of cinnamon, nutmeg and tobacco. With time in the glass, more savoury notes emerge, including dried leaves, resin and gentle balsamic nuances. The finish is long and harmonious, with finely textured, velvety tannins and a fresh, lightly savoury edge.
Winemaking:
Made from 100% Nebbiolo sourced from organically cultivated vineyards in Roero, the wine is matured for 24 months in Slavonian oak tonneaux. This extended ageing in large-format oak allows the wine to develop complexity while preserving Nebbiolo’s natural aromatic profile and structure.
Food Pairing:
A classic partner for Piedmontese cuisine, this wine pairs beautifully with braised beef, slow-cooked lamb, mushroom risotto, truffle dishes or aged hard cheeses.
