A finely balanced Rhône-style blend from Cairanne, the 2024 Domaine Combe Pauline combines Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre from vineyards on the south side of Cairanne’s hill. The highest plots overlook the Rhône Valley, benefiting from favourable climate and carefully tended soils of clay-limestone and pebbles on clay, producing expressive and elegant fruit.
Tasting Notes:
Purple in colour with violine reflections, the wine shows a warm and intense nose of black berries and licorice. On the palate, it is generous and sustained by rich, mellow tannins, with a pleasant sense of fullness and smoothness, finishing long and satisfying.
Winemaking:
The grapes are harvested by hand and undergo traditional vinification, including a three- to five-week maceration. The wine is matured in concrete vats, allowing the fruit and structure to develop naturally.
Food Pairing:
Ideal with beef, lamb, or dark chocolate desserts.
ABV: 14%
