A vibrant southern French white from Gascony, produced by Vignobles Fontan from a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Gros Manseng. Sauvignon brings freshness, aromatic lift and citrus character, while the local Gros Manseng variety contributes texture and ripe exotic fruit notes, creating a lively yet rounded wine typical of the region.
Tasting Notes:
Bright pale yellow in the glass, the nose is expressive with aromas of peach, pear and exotic fruits. The palate is fresh yet rounded, offering flavours of apricot and mango supported by lively grapefruit and citrus notes. A gentle floral nuance adds complexity, while the finish remains crisp and refreshing.
Winemaking:
Made from approximately 80% Sauvignon Blanc and 20% Gros Manseng grown on the clay-limestone soils of Gascony. The two varieties are vinified separately, with a short skin maceration of around 8–12 hours before pressing. Fermentation takes place over approximately 18 days, after which the final blend is assembled and kept at low temperatures to preserve aromatic freshness before bottling.
Food Pairing:
Excellent as an aperitif and well suited to smoked salmon, salmon gravlax and light salads. It also pairs nicely with gently spiced dishes and poultry.
ABV: 11.5%
