Perlato del Bosco is a distinctive expression of 100% Sangiovese from Tua Rita, crafted in the coastal Maremma of Tuscany. The estate focuses on bringing out the pure character of Sangiovese in a style that is both elegant and expressive, reflecting the unique soils and microclimate of the hilltop vineyards near Suvereto.

Tasting Notes:
Bright ruby red with violet hues, the 2018 vintage opens with an intense and spicy bouquet, featuring aromas of wild blackberries, cherries and brambly red fruit, backed by notes of cedar, leather and subtle earthy spice. On the palate it is medium to full‑bodied with juicy acidity, well‑integrated tannins and a harmonious finish. Secondary notes of tobacco, plum and a hint of chocolate enrich the persistent, savoury close.

Winemaking:
Made from 100% Sangiovese, the grapes are hand‑harvested and vinified to emphasise varietal purity. Fermentation takes place in temperature‑controlled stainless steel, with careful maceration on the skins to extract colour and texture. The wine is aged in a combination of larger oak casks, which allows slow oak integration and preserves freshness while adding structure and complexity to the finished wine.

Food Pairing:
An ideal companion to classic Tuscan cuisine, including grilled meats, roasted game and hearty pasta dishes with rich sauces, as well as aged pecorino and other hard cheeses. Its balanced acidity and soft tannins also make it versatile with tomato‑based dishes and braised lamb.
