A full-bodied Shiraz from a single estate vineyard at Ironcloud Estate, showcasing the perfect varietal characteristics of a great vintage. The vineyards benefit from altitude and maritime influence, which temper the summer sun, producing grapes that are ripe yet retain freshness and elegance.
Tasting Notes:
The wine displays a brilliant violet colour with a ruby hue. The nose is lifted and inviting, with aromas of dark plum, blackcurrant, and a hint of liquorice. On the palate, these rich dark fruits are supported by fine structural tannins and subtle spice, leading to a long, fruit-driven finish.
Winemaking:
The grapes were harvested from the single estate vineyard and underwent cool alcoholic fermentation. Following gentle pressing into stainless steel for malolactic fermentation, the wine was matured in oak, allowing the fruit, spice, and structural tannins to integrate seamlessly. The result is a Shiraz that is both concentrated and elegant, expressing the character of the vineyard and the vintage.
Food Pairing:
Pairs beautifully with hearty red meats, rich casseroles, and spiced vegetable dishes.
ABV: 14.5%
