2019 Savigny-Les-Beaune 1er Cru 'Les Serpentières', Maurice Ecard, Burgundy, France

Domaine Maurice Ecard is a big name in Savigny-les-Beaune. The domaine owns vines in four 1er cru sites and given the superb quality, we think they produce some of the appellation's best value wines. 

This 2018 was aged in barrel for 15 months prior to bottling. On the nose there are red fruits and blackcurrant with a hint of coffee in the background. On the palate it has great texture and depth, and again there is a delightful combination of ripe fruit and secondary oak flavours.
