This may be a de-classified wine from a top Chateau but it is nonetheless an exceptional Margaux from an excellent vintage. It has a delightfully soft and plush texture with layers of ripe fruit and subtle oak influence. There is definite Margaux class here but at a fraction of the price of the top estates.
This wine is a de-classified estate from Margaux with a great pedigree. Margaux is an important appellation in the Haut-Médoc of Bordeaux, in the south-west of France. Situated 25 kilometres north of the city of Bordeaux, the appellation is renowned for producing supple and flavourful wines, mainly based on Cabernet Sauvignon.
