A lively and refreshing Grüner Veltliner from Dunántúl, the western wine region of Hungary. While Grüner Veltliner is traditionally associated with Austria, it has found a welcome home in Hungary’s diverse terroir, where cool nights and warm days help develop crisp acidity, aromatic purity and expressive fruit character.
Tasting Notes:
Pale straw with bright reflections, the bouquet is clean and inviting, showing citrus zest, yellow plum and light green apple, with a hint of white pepper spice that is characteristic of this variety. On the palate it is dry and crisp, with refreshing acidity and a well-balanced fruit profile. The finish is lively and persistent, making it an approachable and versatile white wine.
Winemaking:
Made from 100% Grüner Veltliner grown in vineyards across the Dunántúl region, the grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness to preserve freshness and aromatic intensity. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel to maintain purity of fruit and varietal expression. Minimal intervention winemaking ensures clarity and balance, showcasing both the grape and the regional influences.
Food Pairing:
A versatile white ideal as an aperitif or with savoury starters, grilled or seafood dishes, light pasta and salads. It also pairs well with tapas, antipasti, shrimp salad and sushi, where its crisp acidity and citrus notes enhance a wide range of flavours.
