This Crianza from Clea by Bardos is grown in the highest and coolest parts of Ribera del Duero’s páramos — the elevated plains of Burgos and Soria where old vines yield concentrated fruit with natural freshness and definition. The Clea project honours the resilience and craftsmanship of women working these demanding vineyards, producing wines of balance and elegance.
Tasting Notes:
Intense cherry‑red with a violet tint, the nose is expressive with dark fruit aromas complemented by hints of liquorice and tobacco. The palate is corpulent yet silky, with good fruit concentration, supple tannins and balanced acidity, leading to a lingering, elegant finish.
Winemaking:
Made from 100 % Tinta del País (Tempranillo) from old low‑yield vineyards, the grapes are harvested manually and undergo fermentation and maceration for three to four weeks in large vats. Malolactic fermentation and around 14 months ageing in French oak barrels refine the wine’s texture while preserving vibrant fruit character.
Food Pairing:
A beautifully versatile Crianza, it pairs well with roasted or grilled red meats, hearty stews, cured charcuterie and mature cheeses — dishes that complement its balance of fruit intensity and fine structure.
ABV: 14.5%
