2021 'Habilis'Terrasses de Larzac, Plan de l'Homme, Languedoc, France

The Plan de l'Homme estate is one of our absolute favourites in the Languedoc. The Plan de l'Homme plots - around ten hectares in all - are spread over six localities in the town of Saint Jean de la Blaquière in the Terrases de Larzac AOP.

This Syrah, Grenache, Carignan blend is full bodied and concentrated, with layer upon layer of dark fruits. It is not barrel aged, yet there is some delightful spice on the finish, a combination of pepper and a hint of clove. The wine is allowed to settle and mature in tank for a year before bottling and in this time it softens and mellows resulting in a rich and rounded wine to accompany a hearty plate of food.
