A very fine and remarkably complex Morgon. It's produced from selected grapes from low-yielding 80-year-old vines, matured, tasted, and monitored for 12 months in oak casks. It's complex in both structure and flavour with dense, refined tannins that then give way to a long aromatic finish. There is still an abundance of lively cherry fruit as you'd expect from the Gamay grape, but it has really been elevated to another level here.
Domaine du Petit Pérou is a family estate from 5 generations located in Villié-Morgon in the heart of Beaujolais. Their 15 hectares of vineyards are certified HVE (High Environmental Value), and their wines reveal all the passion and love of wine growing handed down through the generations.
