Description

A vibrant and fruit-driven Pinot Noir from Pannon wine region. The appellation, located in the heart of central Hungary, benefits from a continental climate with warm summers and cool nights that encourage ripeness while preserving fresh acidity. Pinot Noir is less common in Hungary than indigenous varieties, making this a noteworthy example of the grape’s potential outside its classic European homelands.

Tasting Notes:
Pale to medium ruby in colour, the bouquet is fragrant and expressive, showing ripe red fruits such as cherry, raspberry and cranberry. On the palate it is soft and gentle in texture, with vivid red fruit flavours supported by subtle smoky sweet spice in the background. The finish is smooth and approachable, with balanced fruit and a lingering red berry character.

Winemaking:
Made from 100% Pinot Noir, the grapes are harvested from vineyards in the Pannon region and vinified with a focus on preserving the purity of fruit and varietal character. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel and large, neutral vessels to emphasise freshness, with minimal new oak influence to maintain clarity of flavour and the grape’s elegant structure.

Food Pairing:
Pairs beautifully with lighter roasted meats, grilled poultry, mushroom dishes, and medium-intensity pasta sauces. Its delicate texture and fresh red fruit profile also complement charcuterie and soft cheeses.

ABV: 13%
