Description

This new find from Domaine Lebrun is quite simply stunning. Colléction Eugenie is made from the best parcels of land and is aged in large wooden vats. It is a Pouilly-Fume with wonderful texture, rich fruit, herbal hotes and a long finish. There is no mistaking the grape variety; the fruit and herbal notes shout Sauvignon Blanc, but it's rare to find an example that is so complex and gentle on the palate.

Laurent Lebrun was trained as a winemaker at Montpellier, spent his formative years training in Australia and then returned to France to take up the position of General Manager and Head Winemaker at Château Olivier, Grand Cru Classé in Bordeaux. He has recently taken over the running of his family estate in Pouilly-Fumé which makes classic, flinty wines from 9 hectares of vines on the slopes of St. Andelain.
