Description

A wonderfully fresh and expressive Sauvignon Blanc from the Haut-Poitou, one of the Loire’s most southerly appellations, where a slightly warmer, drier climate and clay-limestone soils help shape wines with brightness, precision and clear fruit definition. This cuvée reflects the region’s renewed reputation for quality, combining vibrancy with a gentle sense of depth.

Tasting Notes:
The nose is lifted and aromatic, showing citrus peel, grapefruit and green apple, with subtle notes of white flowers and a light herbal edge. The palate is crisp and energetic, delivering lemon and lime zest alongside gooseberry and a hint of riper, tropical fruit. A fine mineral thread runs through the wine, with a clean, mouth-watering finish and a touch of textural weight.

Winemaking:
Sauvignon Blanc grapes are harvested from selected vineyard parcels planted on clay-limestone soils with good sun exposure. Fermentation takes place at low temperatures in stainless steel to preserve aromatic purity. The wine is then kept on its lees, with gentle stirring to build subtle texture and complexity while maintaining freshness and clarity of fruit.

Food Pairing:
Excellent as an aperitif, or served with seafood, grilled fish, fresh salads or light vegetable dishes. It also works particularly well with fresh goat’s cheese, where its citrus lift and minerality provide a natural balance.

ABV: 11.5%
