2022 Saumur Blanc 'Le Petit-Saint-Louis', Chateau de Montgueret, Loire Valley, France

This delightful dry Chenin Blanc from the Loire is an excellent introduction to this wonderful, yet often overlooked, grape variety. Although there is a lovely, crunchy apple, acidity to the wine, it has the texture to balance. Alongside the apple is a slightly richer, ripe melon and quince note that fits perfectly.
