Description

A refined expression of Weissburgunder (Pinot Bianco) from the alpine vineyards of Alto Adige, produced by Cantina Merano in the mountainous Southern Tyrol. The estate’s steep, terraced vineyards are cultivated with meticulous care, much like small gardens, surrounded by cypress and cedar trees that reflect the region’s unique blend of Italian and Germanic winemaking traditions. The result is a white wine of Alpine freshness, minerality and elegant fruit character.

Tasting Notes:
Brilliant greenish yellow in colour, the nose is fresh and aromatic, showing green apple, citrus and subtle floral nuances. On the palate it is rich and well balanced, with crisp acidity and a fine mineral backbone. The texture is clean yet expressive, delivering a sophisticated harmony of fruit and freshness that defines the style of Alto Adige Pinot Bianco.

Winemaking:
Grapes are grown on high-altitude, terraced vineyards where cool nights and alpine influences preserve aromatic intensity and natural acidity. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel to maintain purity of fruit and varietal expression. Minimal intervention winemaking allows the wine’s natural minerality and freshness to shine, resulting in a balanced and elegant style.

Food Pairing:
Ideal with seafood, grilled fish, white meats and light pasta dishes. Its crisp character also complements salads, vegetable-based recipes and soft cheeses.

ABV: 13.5%
