This deep coloured wine has a nose of mulberry, red plum and berries with soft vanilla hints. On the palate it's rich and unctous with juicy black fruits, generous but soft with lashings of vanilla oak.
Three lifelong friends and business partners, Warwick Lavis, Geoff and Karyn Cross strengthened their alliance in 2003 with the purchase of a vineyard which is now named Ironcloud.
Ironcloud Estate (formerly Pepperilly Estate) is situated in the picturesque Ferguson Valley, in the hills of the Geographe Wine Region, overlooking Geographe Bay.
The vines were planted in 1999 in highly prized red gravelly loam soils and the estate comprises of a single vineyard of 28 acres comprising hand-tended Grenache, Shiraz, Mourvedre, Malbec, Touriga, Saparavi, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon.
The winery is now rated as 5 star by James Halliday and all 3 quality levels offer great value for money!
