Description

A refined expression of Pinot Gris from the volcanic slopes of Badacsony, where the variety has found a second home outside France. The region’s basalt soils and proximity to Lake Balaton create wines of distinctive minerality and freshness, balanced by the softness and elegance that define Szürkebarát.

Tasting Notes:
Pale straw in colour with gentle floral aromas and a subtle spice note, the wine opens with white flowers and delicate orchard fruit. On the palate it is full and textured, offering layers of ripe pear and stone fruit alongside clean minerality and refreshing acidity. The finish is smooth and complex, reflecting both elegance and depth.

Winemaking:
Made from 100% Pinot Gris grown on Badacsony’s volcanic slopes, fermentation is carried out with care to preserve varietal character and freshness. Minimal intervention winemaking allows the natural softness and complexity of the grape to shine, resulting in a balanced and expressive white wine.

Food Pairing:
A versatile white that pairs well with seafood, white fish and salads, as well as light poultry dishes and creamy sauces. Its gentle fruit and mineral notes also make it an excellent companion to Mediterranean cuisine and soft cheeses.

ABV: 12.5%
