Description

This youthful Tempranillo from Palacio del Camino Real comes from vineyards in the Najerilla Valley of Rioja, a cooler, high‑altitude sub‑zone known for producing fresh, expressive fruit with bright acidity. Palacio del Camino Real is part of the broader Vintae family of Rioja producers, combining regional heritage with contemporary winemaking to craft approachable, fruit‑driven wines.

Tasting Notes:
A vibrant ruby red in the glass, this 2023 Tempranillo shows lively aromas of red and dark berries, including blackberry and plum, with hints of sweet spice and gentle cedar from its brief oak influence. The palate is medium‑bodied and smooth, framed by soft tannins and balanced acidity, finishing with a pleasant, fruit‑forward lift and subtle herbal undertones.

Winemaking:
Made from 100 % Tempranillo, this wine undergoes a short period of oak ageing to give additional depth without overpowering its vibrant fruit. Fermentation and maturation are managed to preserve the varietal character and freshness typical of young Rioja reds.

Food Pairing:
An excellent match for grilled lamb chops, roasted poultry, tomato‑based dishes, or mild blue cheeses, where its bright fruit and balanced structure can shine.

ABV: 13.5%
