A benchmark Vino Nobile from the historic Avignonesi estate, this wine embodies the elegance and depth of Montepulciano’s Sangiovese-based reds. It offers a polished, approachable style while retaining the complexity for which the region is renowned.
Tasting Notes:
Garnet red in colour, the nose reveals ripe red berries, plums, and hints of pomegranate, complemented by sweet spices and subtle Mediterranean herbs. The palate is rich and well balanced, with smooth, integrated tannins, juicy fruit intensity, and a long, lingering finish.
Winemaking:
Made from 100% Sangiovese grapes, the estate employs sustainable viticulture with meticulous vineyard management to ensure optimal ripeness and concentration. Fermentation is carried out in stainless steel with temperature control, followed by ageing in large oak casks and barrels to refine structure and complexity while preserving freshness and varietal purity.
Food Pairing:
Pairs beautifully with roasted red meats, game, aged cheeses, and traditional Tuscan pasta dishes. Its balance and finesse also make it a versatile choice with poultry or mushroom-based risottos.
ABV: 13.5%
