A pure and classic expression of Gamay. This Beaujolais Villages is tender, round and fruity. Ripe cherry and raspberry fruit dominate with a hint of smokiness in the background. It would be perfect served as an aperitif or with charcuterie, cheese, sausages etc...
Respectively founded in 1923 and 1960 Cave de Chaintre et Cave des Producteurs de Juliénas merged in 2013 to form a union between Burgundy and Beaujolais. The people who make up les Vignerons Associés work tire-lessly to produce consumer friendly wines with an emphasis on respect for the terroir, innovation and production of a large selection of outstanding wines.
Located in the small villages of Jullié and Emeringes, the Beaujolais Villages vines are planed in sandy, granitic soils. Harvesting is carried out by hand and the grapes are left in tank for 7-8 days to macerate in order to optimise the colour and aroma of the wine. Fermentation is heat regulated at temperatures of 27/28 degrees centigrade and maturation follows until the end of the winter when the wine is bottled.
