A finely balanced Bordeaux-style blend from Oregon’s Rogue Valley, the 2021 ‘Cinquenta’ combines estate-grown Merlot, Malbec, and Cabernet Sauvignon. It’s an elegant, medium-full bodied wine that reflects both the warmth of the vintage and the freshness of its hillside vineyards.
Tasting Notes:
Inviting aromas of blackberry, plum, and cassis lead into subtle notes of cocoa, coffee, and spice. The palate is smooth and well-structured, with generous dark fruit, gentle oak influence, and a long, refined finish.
Winemaking:
Made entirely from estate-grown fruit, the blend is matured in oak to enhance structure and complexity while maintaining purity of flavour. Domaine Rogue’s careful, low-intervention approach allows each grape variety to contribute its own character, resulting in a wine of balance and clarity.
Food Pairing:
Excellent with wild mushroom risotto, roasted meats, or hearty vegetable dishes. It also pairs well with aged cheeses and slow-cooked stews.
