Soft vibrant yellow colour with hints of green. Very expressive, complex nose that releases aromas of grapefruit, mango and blackcurrant leaf. The mouth is fresh and long, while its full body and good acidity endow it with incredible balance.
The Leyda Valley is the birthplace of the cool climate wines. The Pacific Ocean off the Chilean coastline is very cold owing to the influence of the Humboldt Current, also responsible for the fresh breezes that blow
during the daytime and keep the temperature cool. The seasons are clearly differentiated and thermal oscillation is low. All of these variables encourage the grapes to ripen slowly, while acidity levels remain high, resulting in fresh, elegant wines with the mineral or even saline aromas typical of these cool climates.
The Las Niñas vineyard is firmly rooted in Apalta, in the heart of Colchagua. It has been certified organic since 2017. To combat weeds naturally before the vines start to grow, they use sheep. The partial weed control done by the animals helps to retain humidity in the soil, recycle nutritive elements and prevent erosion. In turn, sheep droppings provide natural fertiliser for the plants.
