A refined dry Furmint from the Tokaj wine region, produced by Royal Tokaji, one of Hungary’s leading wineries renowned for both its legendary dessert wines and expressive dry whites. Tokaj’s volcanic soils and continental climate lend Furmint a distinctive mineral edge and vibrant freshness, making it one of Central Europe’s most compelling white grape varieties.
Tasting Notes:
Pale straw in colour, the nose offers aromas of grape blossom, apple and peach with a subtle mineral undertone. On the palate the wine is dry and sleek, combining ripe orchard fruit flavours with bright acidity and a clean, persistent finish. Half of the blend is barrel-fermented and half tank-fermented, adding complexity and texture while preserving freshness and varietal clarity.
Winemaking:
Crafted from 100% Furmint grapes sourced in Tokaj vineyards, fermentation is divided between stainless steel and oak to balance purity of fruit with subtle structure. The use of barrel fermentation contributes depth and nuance, while the tank-fermented portion maintains the crisp, vibrant character that defines modern dry Tokaji white wines.
Food Pairing:
An excellent partner for seafood, white fish and shellfish, as well as poultry and light salads. Its mineral backbone and lively acidity also complement creamy sauces and vegetable dishes, making it a versatile choice for a wide range of cuisine.
