Description

A vibrant and precise Muscadet from the Sèvre et Maine appellation, crafted from carefully tended Melon de Bourgogne vines on granite-rich, sandy-loam soils. Domaine de la Bretonnière, led by Bertrand Cormerais, focuses on meticulous vineyard care and respect for the environment, producing a wine that exemplifies the typicity and freshness of the region.

Tasting Notes:
Pale and bright, with aromas of green melon, white stone fruit and subtle citrus. The palate is lively and mineral-driven, enriched by six months on lees, which adds texture and depth without overwhelming the wine’s natural freshness. Crisp, clean and persistent, it delivers a precise, refreshing finish.

Winemaking:
Grapes are harvested at full maturity to preserve aromatic clarity and varietal character. Fermentation and ageing occur on fine lees for six months, enhancing texture and complexity while maintaining a bright, vibrant profile. Vines range from 10 to 40 years old, yielding concentrated, expressive fruit.

Food Pairing:
Pairs beautifully with oysters, shellfish, white fish, and light seafood dishes. Also works well with salads, goat’s cheese, or simple vegetable preparations.

ABV: 12%
