Description

An elegant and organically produced Gavi from Tenuta del Melo in Piedmont, part of the Rossi Cairo family estates. The vineyards extend over approximately 15 hectares of well-exposed slopes within the Gavi DOCG zone, where mineral-rich, marly soils are characteristic of the area. The estate follows organic principles in both vineyard and cellar, focusing on sustainability and respect for natural cycles to enhance grape quality and site expression.

Tasting Notes:
Pale straw in colour with bright clarity, the nose shows a fine mineral character alongside notes of honey and candied citrus. On the palate, crisp orchard fruits are complemented by hints of almond and fresh citrus zest. The texture is clean and poised, with lively acidity and a precise, refreshing finish.

Winemaking:
Made from 100% Cortese, the traditional grape of Gavi, the vines are cultivated on mineral, marl-based soils that contribute to the wine’s characteristic finesse and structure. Organic vineyard management includes natural soil enrichment practices designed to support vine health and balance. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel to preserve aromatic purity and freshness, with no oak influence.

Food Pairing:
A natural partner for fish dishes, seafood risotto and grilled prawns. It also pairs beautifully with roasted vegetables, light pasta dishes and fresh cheeses.
