2021 Rasteau, Château la Courançonne, Rhone Valley, France

This delicious Rhone red is made from a blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre. It's deep and rich colour with ripe black cherry, blackberry and a hint of black pepper and liquorice in the background.

With just 3 ha of vines in Rasteau, Ch la Courançonne are small producers making great wine. Following 12 generations in the Meffre family it was bought in 2019 by Alain Aubert who continues the small family grower tradition.
