Description

Homage to the Supernins. Vine growers, farmers, margers, olive growers, livestock farmers and charcoal burners who inhabited the Superna Valley for centuries. It is the result of ancestral work and the search for balance and depth. “Ses Terrases” is situated 400 metres above sea level. It is the highest altitude Manto Negro on the island and therefore in the world. This is why we work to achieve a fresh, deep-coloured grape with an intense aroma. It is vinified for 45 days with its skins and with no interventions, and then it is pressed. It remains in its lees until the day before it is bottled. Gently filtered.

Intense cherry colour. On the nose, jammy red and black fruits, cherry, spices and minerlas. Tobacco notes, smoke and vanilla give complexity. It emphazises the balance and depht of the Mantonegro cultivated at altitude.

The Son Vich de Superna Winery is a family winery which uses traditional production methods. It is located in Majorca, right in the heart of the Serra Tramuntana, one of four wine production areas in the world classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. It was born in 2006 with a passion to make wines that are not only high quality, but also different from what was until then being made on the island, always fully respecting the natural environment. The wines produced are white, blanc de noir, rosé and barrel aged red, and indigenous grape varieties are grown, such as Prensal, Manto Negro and Gorgollassa, as well as international ones like Viognier, Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Merlot.
