Description

Supernins is a signature red from Bodega Son Vich de Superna, a family winery nestled high in the Serra de Tramuntana on Majorca’s north-west coast. The vineyards sit above 450 m, where cool breezes temper Mediterranean sun, encouraging freshness and structure in the grapes. The estate works with both indigenous varieties such as Manto Negro and international grapes, crafting wines that express the unique mineral and saline character of this UNESCO World Heritage terroir.

Tasting Notes:
Intense cherry crimson in the glass, the nose delivers layered aromas of ripe red and black fruits, with hints of spice, subtle tobacco and soft mineral notes. On the palate it is medium-bodied yet expressive, combining depth of fruit with a smooth, rounded texture and gentle spice on the finish.

Winemaking:
Grapes are selected from the higher terraces of the Superna Valley and undergo a traditional maceration with skin contact to build colour and aromatic complexity. Fermentation is carried out with both indigenous and selected yeasts, and the wine is matured in fine and medium-grain French oak of varying sizes to support structure without overwhelming the fruit.

Food Pairing:
Pairs beautifully with grilled lamb, pork with herbs, Mallorcan-style slow roasts or tomato-rich pasta dishes. Its balance of fruit intensity and smooth tannins also complements charcuterie and mature cheeses.

ABV: 13%
