A beautifully composed Côte d’Or Chardonnay from Gaëlle and Jérôme Meunier that captures both the precision of the Côte Chalonnaise and the quiet depth of nearby Côte de Beaune influences. Sourced from selected parcels, including fruit from higher-quality hillside sites, this is a finely tuned white Burgundy that balances purity, texture and subtle complexity.
Tasting Notes:
Pale gold in colour, the nose opens with crisp orchard fruit, lemon zest and a gentle floral lift. On the palate, fresh apple and citrus are supported by a fine, rounded texture, with subtle notes of toasted almond and a delicate creamy edge. The balance between vibrant acidity and measured richness gives a poised, structured finish with a lingering mineral freshness.
Winemaking:
Grapes are sourced from multiple carefully selected parcels and vinified with a focus on preserving clarity of fruit and site expression. Fermentation takes place partly in stainless steel and partly in oak barrels, followed by maturation for several months before blending and bottling. This approach combines freshness and precision with a gentle layer of texture from discreet oak ageing.
Food Pairing:
A versatile white Burgundy that pairs well with roast chicken, creamy poultry dishes, grilled fish, shellfish and soft cheeses. It also works beautifully with mushroom-based dishes, where its balance of freshness and subtle richness complements earthy flavours.
