Made from 95% Nerello Mascalese with approximately 5% Nerello Cappuccio, this is a stunning red from the southern slopes of Mount Etna. There is a wonderful cleaness of red fruit and cherry on the palate, and alongside you'll find notes of roasted herbs. It's soft textured, yet it retains a wonderful freshness on the finish. This is a hugely versatile wine that can be served slightly chilled in the summer or at room temperture to accompany a hearty winter dish.
Masseria Setteporte is located in a very unique place: on the south-western slope of Etna, in the town of Biancavilla,. Here, viticulture dates back to an-cient times. The Portale family, owners of Masseria Setteporte, have passed their winemaking tradition down through generations.. Due to the volcanic soil, the high altitudes and the typical Mediterranean climate, the wines pro-duced on the southern slope of Etna are unique in their elegance and have an inviting aroma profile as well as superb drinkability.
