Description

A charming and approachable red from the Languedoc, made entirely from Marselan – a cross of Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache created in 1961 by the pioneering vine scientist Paul Truel. This varietal carries the vibrancy of Grenache with added finesse and structure from its Cabernet lineage, producing a wine that is both expressive and easy to enjoy.

Tasting Notes:
Bright ruby in colour, the nose is fragrant with ripe red berries, subtle floral notes, and a touch of spice. On the palate, it is light to medium-bodied, juicy, and supple, with red fruit at the forefront and a gentle, harmonious finish. The wine’s freshness and balance make it versatile, lively, and immediately appealing.

Winemaking:
The grapes are carefully selected from vineyards in the Languedoc, with vinification designed to preserve the purity and fruit-forward character of Marselan. Minimal intervention in the winery ensures that the natural expression of the variety shines through, while gentle handling produces soft tannins and a smooth texture.

Food Pairing:
Delightful with grilled meats, roasted vegetables, pasta with light tomato sauces, or enjoyed on its own. Its easy-drinking style also makes it a perfect everyday red.

ABV: 13.5%
