Description

A fragrant Vermentino from the Sarrabus region of Sardinia, produced by Cantina Castiadas, a historic cooperative founded in 1959 with the aim of celebrating the island’s viticultural traditions. The estate works with grapes from the surrounding area where sea and mountains coexist, creating wines that reflect the freshness and mineral character typical of Sardinian white wines. Praidis Vermentino is crafted to highlight the variety’s natural vibrancy and affinity with Mediterranean cuisine.

Tasting Notes:
Pale straw in colour with bright reflections, the nose is aromatic and inviting, showing notes of honeysuckle and citrus blossom. On the palate it is dry and clean, with flavours of orchard fruit and a subtle mineral edge. The texture is fresh and well balanced, delivering a lively expression of Vermentino that remains elegant and persistent.

Winemaking:
Grapes are sourced from vineyards in the Sarrabus area where the Mediterranean climate and proximity to the coast enhance freshness and aromatic intensity. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel to preserve varietal purity and brightness. The result is a wine that emphasises the natural character of Vermentino with minimal intervention and a focus on clean, precise flavours.

Food Pairing:
A natural companion to seafood and shellfish, as well as light pasta dishes and Mediterranean salads. Its freshness also makes it an excellent aperitif and a versatile partner for vegetable-based dishes and soft cheeses.

ABV: 13%
