Description

A delightful dry white from the island of Sardinia. Vermentino is the go-to wine for the local seafood, and it's fragrant style and freshness is certainly a good match to seafood dishes. There is a note of honeysuckle on the nose and there is some lovely clean orchard fruit on the palate.

Founded in 1959 by the Sardinian agrarian reform body supported by the major winemakers in the area, the Castiadas winery collected grapes from all over Sarrabus. The main objective was the production of quality wines, obtained according to the ancient traditions of that viticulture which still today has its most prized product in the famous Cannonau and which only in this part of Sardinia boasts the sub-denomination 'Capo Ferrato'. All the efforts and strategies combined with new technologies were concentrated towards the productions that best represented the Sarrabese territory due to their typicality and tradition. Today, like yesterday, they continue to produce wines that embody the tradition, flavour and scent of this land where sea and mountains coexist together.
